Joanna is an enthusiastic individual with a wide background in physiotherapy. She moved to the UK in 2010 after completing her physiotherapy BSc degree in Poland (2007).
To continue her physiotherapy career and provide exceptional service to her patients, Joanna undertook a second physiotherapy degree in the UK, graduating with a 1st from the University of Bradford.
Joanna has worked in the NHS from 2011, specialising in musculoskeletal therapy, orthopaedics, chronic pain and obstetrics. She has a special interest in hand rehabilitation after working in major trauma and plastics. Additionally, she provides acute and long-term stroke rehabilitation, focusing on getting the best outcomes with individually focused treatment plans.
Joanna always goes the extra step to provide care that is focused on compassion, kindness and achieving goals with her patients. Using manual therapy, exercise and advice, her holistic approach enables patients to meet their goals for the long term.
She has completed accredited courses in breast cancer rehabilitation and cupping therapy, a modern technique to treat muscular injuries.
Joanna is an active individual, quick to accept a challenge. This has led to some wonderful experiences including regency dancing, hiking in Yorkshire and attending the odd comic con. Joanna has a lively son who is equally adventurous and can often be the one choosing the adventure!
We are very pleased to have such an experienced physio join our team. She compliments our ethos of hands-on treatment combined with home exercise plans. So be prepared for more homework!
