Cupping therapy is a holistic form of therapy used to help with pain, blood flow, relaxation, and overall well-being. During a session, plastic cups are placed on your skin and a pump is used to create suction. This suction helps lift the skin and underlying tissues, which can improve circulation and promote healing.
Improved Circulation: The suction created by dry cupping draws blood to the surface, increasing circulation and potentially promoting faster healing and reducing inflammation.
Muscle Relaxation: By loosening tight muscles and fascia, dry cupping can help relieve muscle tension and pain, improving flexibility and range of motion.
Pain Relief: Many people find that dry cupping helps alleviate chronic pain conditions like back pain, neck pain, and headaches by reducing muscle tension and nerve compression.
Stress Reduction: The relaxation and sense of well-being associated with dry cupping can help reduce stress and anxiety, potentially improving sleep quality.
Improved Recovery: Dry cupping can help accelerate muscle recovery after workouts or injuries, reducing the risk of further injury.
Cupping can leave temporary circular marks on the skin, which is a normal and painless.
Many people find cupping a relaxing and effective addition to their wellness routine.

You will require an initial assessment before you begin treatment in order to establish that cupping therapy is a suitable treatment option for you. Your therapist will discuss why you are choosing cupping therapy and will look at your medical history to ensure there are no contraindications which may mean it isn’t a suitable option. They will then discuss and recommend a treatment programme including number and frequency of sessions and book you in for treatment if agreed.
