I was referred to Action First by BUPA following shoulder problems. I had had a lumpectomy with the removal of 4 sentinel lymph nodes. This left me with pain and restriction of movement in my left shoulder. I have seen Kirsten and Joanna every week for several months now. I have been extremely impressed by their knowledge of physiology and the understanding of how best to treat the cording of my ligaments.
Their treatment plus the exercises they have suggested have made a tremendous difference to my shoulder so that a problem which I had feared would lead to a long term disability has to a large degree, been resolved. I am extremely lucky that they have taken me on!

Some of the conditions cancer patients face include pain, nerve damage and incontinence. This is where physiotherapy comes in. Physio helps patients maintain mobility, which helps keep them strong and energised, leading to them ultimately feeling back to their usual self.

Cancer is progressive, and physiotherapists understand the gradual decline of the patient's physical wellbeing. Physical therapy effectively reduces cancer-related tiredness and fatigue, increasing exercise capacity and quality of life.
The Goals of Cancer Rehabilitation are as follows:
