Life can be challenging, and navigating through emotional difficulties, stress, or mental health conditions can feel overwhelming. Psychological therapy offers a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behaviours, and learn and develop effective strategies for managing life's hurdles. It is an active approach where you will be encouraged to try out some of the ideas that resonate with you between sessions.
We believe in a personalised approach to therapy, recognising that each person’s experiences and needs are unique. Our psychologists are skilled in a range of therapeutic approaches.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based approach that helps people heal from painful memories, trauma, or distressing life experiences. Many of us carry experiences that can feel “stuck”, showing up as anxiety, intrusive thoughts, emotional overwhelm, or patterns that keep us from living fully. EMDR works by helping the brain reprocess these experiences, so they no longer hold the same emotional intensity. With the help of simple eye movements, sounds, or gentle taps, your brain is guided to process memories in a safe and effective way. Unlike traditional talking therapies, you don’t have to go into every detail of your experiences for EMDR to be effective.

Welcome to Women in Bloom Psychology. My name is Tracey, and I am a BPS Chartered and HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist. With over 15 years’ experience in women’s mental health, I provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment for women. My mission is to work with women at any stage in their lives to help them navigate the challenges that life can bring.
As women, we encounter many unique and challenging life transitions. Relationship difficulties and work challenges, pregnancy and motherhood, perimenopause and menopause, bereavements, traumas, the list can seem endless. At these times, having the opportunity to reflect on what is happening for us, to connect with the emotional impacts, and discover how we can learn to adapt is vital. Having a safe space in which to do this enables us to build our sense of strength and resilience and ultimately, it encourages us to continue to grow despite what life has thrown our way.
