Reflexology is a complementary health therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing; reducing stress in people’s lives can be key in optimising good health and building resilience.

It is a touch therapy that is based on the theory that different points on the feet, hands and  ears correspond with different areas of the body and reflexologists work these points and areas.

What Is Reflexology?

Pamela has the most caring and attentive nature. The one thing I love most about Pamela is how she truly listens to you and focuses my treatment to hone in on any areas that need extra tlc. Not that she needs any direction, she just knows whats what simply through her touch and awareness and natural skill of her trade. Every time, I leave feeling lighter and better in myself, I can’t recommend treatment with Pamela enough. Thank you!

The Whole Body Approach

As reflexology has a 'whole' body approach, it can help to reset many imbalances in the body. For example it may help with:

  • Skeletal and muscular issues
  • Respiratory and Cardiovascular problems
  • Anxiety and/or depression
  • Fertility and reproductive issues
  • Improving well being
  • Aiding the lymphatic and immune system to function better
  • Central nervous system conditions

The Whole Body Approach

I had been interested in holistic treatments for a while so thought I would go for a reflexology treatment at Action First. I go there regularly for yoga classes and massage, so thought reflexology would compliment that Pamela puts you at your ease immediately with her calm and warm approach. The treatment room is a calm and restful place. Pamela is caring, patient and empathetic. I have both foot and ear reflexology and sometimes seeds placed in my ear to continue the treatment after the appointment. Wonderful.

A huge thank you to Harriet and Kirsteen for all the work they did on my ankle and the guidance they gave me. They have enabled me to hike in the Southern Alps (and other amazing places) I didn’t think would be possible! So grateful and will book a sports massage when I get back.
